Community Guidelines

A few simple rules for keeping this a worthwhile corner of the internet. They are not complicated. Neither is the consequence for ignoring them.

Be civil

Disagree all you like — disagreement is healthy. Personal attacks, name-calling, and deliberate cruelty are not. There is a difference between arguing a point and attacking a person.
2.
Stay on topic

Comments should be relevant to the post they appear under. This is not a billboard. Save the tangents for your own blog.
3.
No spam

No promotional links, no affiliate schemes, no unsolicited advertisements of any kind. First offense is deletion. Second offense is a permanent ban.
4.
Own your words

Anonymous commenting is allowed, but cowardice is not. If you would not say it to someone's face in a room full of people, reconsider saying it here.
5.
Pants optional

I cannot verify what you are wearing while you read this. I have chosen not to make it a requirement. Everything else on this list, however, is non-negotiable.
